You realize you're comparing ALL of the U.S. in your statistic - even the cities which ban guns and have crime rates through the roof, right? That only further proves my point. Cities that ban guns typically have a vastly higher crime rate per capita than those that don't. That is a fact; not an opinion. Chicago, Washington D.C., New York come to mind. Do you really think a law-breaking criminal is going to suddenly abide by a gun law? No - only the average everyday citizen will. Inherently, criminals realize this and exploit it. Chances are high that a citizen would be defenseless if a gun was pointed at them in a gun-banned area. And LOL *facepalm* about your comparison to Europe. Use YOUR eyes/brain!
